Expert Psychological Evaluation & Testimony

In addition to my clinical practice, I provide forensic psychological services for legal matters in state and federal courts. My background as a scientist-practitioner, combined with training in assessment and forensic settings, allows me to navigate complex legal questions with clinical depth and objectivity.

I am available to be retained by both Plaintiff and Defense counsel to provide Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs), forensic case review, and expert testimony.

Gregory Devore, Ph.D., clinical psychologist and expert witness in Portland, Oregon.

Areas of Forensic Experience

A scenic view of a large lake with turquoise water, surrounded by green vegetation, with snow-capped mountains in the distance under a clear blue sky, partially blurred purple flowers in the foreground.

I specialize in the assessment of psychological damages and sequelae related to:

  • Institutional Abuse & Civil Rights:
Assessing claims of abuse within correctional facilities and youth authorities

  • Sexual Abuse & Trauma:
Evaluating the long-term psychological impact of emotional abuse or sexual violence and conducting damage assessments for current litigation.

  • Medical Malpractice:
Assessing psychological harm resulting from medical negligence

My credibility as an expert witness is grounded in my commitment to the data. I have been retained by both defense attorneys (e.g., in civil litigation defending the U.S. Government) and plaintiff attorneys (e.g., medical malpractice and abuse claims). This balance ensures that my evaluations are viewed as impartial, evidence-based, and rigorously scientific.
